The city of Dortmund is hosting a series of participation processes, to assess the perceived safety in a couple of diverse neighborhoods around the city. The job has gone to "Dialoggestalter" a moderation bureau, specialising in organisation of citizen processes. Due to the Corona-situation and in-line with the city's Smart City strategy, the bureau realized the need for a digital solution for the mapping-process on the planned guided walks. As additional benefits were seen the much reduced post-processing efforts after the workshops, as well as additional analytical possibilities for the decision making process afterwards.
